I kinda want your guys honest opinions. I know we all kind of ignore this and it’s not that it really matters, but like I told someone about Beck and they’re like he’s cool and all but then they found out he was a Scientologist and totally boycotted him. Does it bother you guys that much? Or a little bit? Do you guys know a whole lot about it?
I know about it and I dunno why I was shocked when I learned he was Scientologist but it’s not really a big deal. I mean, I kinda look at it like ,“well, it doesn’t make a difference cause I love his music anyways. He could be a muslim, or a mormon or episcopilian and it still wouldn’t make a difference because I love him and his music” What religion he chooses to have is his choice and stuff and I respect that and stuff. You know? Like, if I were Beck I would be sad if I knew people weren’t listening to my music anymore cause they found out what religion I am, yet at the same time he shouldn’t care cause it’s his life and he could do whatever the heck he wants and if he wants to be a Scientologist well then he could do it. Everyone should be able to like believe what they want to and while we don’t have to agree with eachother we could still coexsist and respect each other. I think it’s really messed up of people to stop listening to him cause he’s a Scientologist. I LOVE YOU BECK!!!!!
I agree with stevie. People always find some ‘flaw’ in people to hold onto. They do it so they can discriminate. Just like with anything else, people pick on anyone who is different than them. It makes them feel better about themselves. That’s the basis of all hate. Anyways, I have my own (unpopular) beliefs on religion. I believe that all religions are true. In my book, anything you truly believe in is your religion. What mortal gets to say whats the right and wrong religion, anyways?
Yeah, so basically i think discriminating against people for what they worship, look like, and believe in has no basis. Trust me, I have bee unpopular opinions, and when people make fun of them or disapprove, I really don’t care. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks.TL,DR; People who stop listening to Beck because hes a scientologist obviously do so because they are too infatuated with their own, narrow views.
What people fail to recognize is that Beck is a second-generation Scientologist. He was just brought up that way.
