Listen/purchase: George and the Space People by Jackass Penguins

This song was originally envisioned to have more layers to it. There may still be a version somewhere with multiple clarinet overdubs, but our recording equipment was so crappy that it sounded terrible. This is just the base track, and it was ultimately included on the Mental Holiday album. The song is about the legendary George Van Tassel who claimed to be visited by aliens and rode a flying saucer. He built the Integratron himself, but died before it could be completely finished. More recently, the building was used for the music video for “Honestly” by Zwan.
