I know. It’s not just the mighty SP either. I was reading a review of a Kyuss album recently and they were complaining about John Garcia’s voice ruining the songs. I have also read similar opinions about Hum and Metallica. I think that if you don’t like the singer, then you can’t really appreciate the band. Their loss.
