This is a 2004 remake of a song written in 1996 after a trip up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. I’m not too thrilled with how this version turned out, but I figured that I should post it anyway.
I’m working on a new version of this song for Flat Earth Society.
Lyrics:
Going up the mountainside
Nice day for a trammin’ ride
Clouds look like cottonball ghosts
Super-clear views to Mexico
Aerial examiner
Stereo pentameter
Yeah
Above the clouds, I walk up here
With my friends there are no tears
Trouble down below the clouds
I don’t care, I’m up here now
The world is here
