I read somewhere that endless nameless was basically kurt getting angry and tired while trying to record nevermind and that its basically him trashing his guitar around and saying things that don’t make sense. is that true and how do we know that? (sorry for my english i hope im making sense)

that was it.   they had a terrible time with “Lithium”.  they kept speeding up as they did the song. 

butch vig has stated “ it was a long day, and Kurt became very frustrated. after we finally got a take, they launched into “endless, nameless” and Kurt fucking went ballistic.  He was screaming so hard, I swore to God he’d blown his vocal cords out, and in the middle of it , he smashed his guitar up.  then screamed some more…..and walked out.”

Vig supposedly asked Krist and dave,  as they were packing up, “is Kurt ok?”

their reply?  “oh yeah man. he’s fine.  that’s just Kurt .”   Vig has said “he was actually frightened during the whole thing”  and glad he hit “record”.

Kurt was back the next day, all smiles and ready to play.
