Going to have a great summer trip. Driving to Grand Junction then taking Amtrak to Illinois, getting a rental car and driving to St. Louis, then Chicago. Hopping back on the train to Grand Junction, then driving home.

This song was recorded as it was played for the first time. The title reflects a George Harrison track from the Wonderwall Music soundtrack that I had discovered around this time and inspired the flow of this song.
One year ago today, I recorded “Far Away” which is the intro song on Flat Earth Society. It is basically the same riff as “Reasons to Live” but is not syncopated and is played on accordion and banjo.

Flat Earth Society update 3/25/2014
Recorded Silver Queen and Reasons to Live, so that makes 6 songs for today and ten total for the album. I am still trying to figure out if there is anything else to add to this record. It is definitely not what I expected, but I like it.
One year ago I wrote Nevada Landing and recorded Nevada Landing, Honest Engine, B.K.K., Flat Earth Society, Silver Queen and Reasons to Live. That’s half of the album in one day. There was only two songs left to be recorded.
