I think that people easily forget…

That the oldest of the Millennials are 36 years old.

In fact, some charts have them ending as early as 1995.

So if you were born between ‘95 and 2000 you could be either a Millennial or Gen Z.

I think the point I’m trying to make here is that most people talk about Millennials as if they’re all clueless teenagers when in reality they’re likely between the ages of 20-36.

Millennials are generally young adults suffering from a failing economy and a failed educational system, being portrayed as clueless children by the people who broke the economy and the educational system.

“…being portrayed as clueless children by the people who broke the economy and the educational system.”

Which is, in what is perhaps not really a surprise, exactly how the prior generation was represented by their parents, and that generation by the one before them, and so on and so forth.

I have never seen that the grouping for Gen X lumps me in with my older siblings. My oldest sister and myself are bookends of the spread.

Another outtake from the sessions for Pornucopia. This song started as an instrumental towards the end of the Celestial Medley. I just couldn’t include it because it didn’t flow with the album and there was already a song featuring the flanger effect on the album. Enjoy.

This riff puts me in a trance. I don’t know if it does that to anyone else.

I was going to include this on From Eh To Zzzzz, but the sound quality wasn’t good enough. Perhaps I will record this again on a future record.

By 1998, I had a second acoustic guitar and an electric, so I converted my first one to a slide guitar since the frets were shot. It turned out to be a perfect slide guitar as the action is super-high (because the neck is bowed slightly out). I played “In My Time of Dying” a million times before I wrote this song, the first for slide guitar. I realize it’s not the best song now that I listen back, but I had fun playing it back in the day. Another Pornucopia outtake.

I thought of this song today and just wanted to repost it.

This song needs to be reposted once in a while since it’s not on any official release.

“…When you see you become part of the cycle of generations, you lose your ego in the process, because you ain’t nothin’ special. You’re just another cipher in the generations. When you devote all your interest into another person, you lose your self-obsession, and that’s when you understand what it is. You don’t know (anything) without that moment. You don’t want anything to harm this helpless being. That’s a fantastic change. And that’s when you understand what’s happening. I never understood anything until my first baby looked at me. I didn’t understand (anything). Now I understand…”

Led Zeppelin are notoriously hesitant to allow their music to be licensed for commercial purposes. Knowing this, Richard Linklater filmed a plea by actor Jack Black in front of 1,000 screaming fans, imploring the band to let the production use the “Immigrant Song” in the movie. The plea worked and the filmed request is included on the DVD.“
