Today marks the 19th anniversary of the release of this album, which was released under the moniker of “Not A Band”. The volume levels were messed up on some of the tracks, partially due to playing at max volume, partially due to the overdub technique of playing along to a second boombox, and partially due to the reliance on in-boombox microphones.

Another old album uploaded to BandCamp. This time it’s Not An Album, which was released in 1998. Only 2 copies were made on the original cassette. Now available for download. 

The follow-up album to Fashion Victims, Not An Album was a step up in quality, but still suffered from primitive and inadequate recording techniques and drifting tempos. Still, it has redeemable qualities, and holds up pretty well for an 18 year old album recorded by an 18 year old.

By censored, I mean that some shit was taken out that I think doesn’t stand the test of time. But don’t think that this isn’t a depraved journey through my warped mind anymore. On the contrary, there’s plenty of sick shit to go around. And yeah, it’s on the house. Stick it in your ear hole today.

It pained me to not include this on the giant compilation Dos Equis, but I only pulled songs that had the best sound quality, and this is not up to par. It’s too bad because I have felt that this is one of the better songs I have ever written. It’s overdue for a revisit. Backstory: this was written and recorded around the time Clinton finally admitted that he had inappropriate relations with his intern. This was a time when the GOP was drunk with moral outrage and their witch hunt was finally drawing blood. The president lied under oath! Look, he stuck a cee-gar up her snatch! He jizzed on a blue dress! Illegal gifts! This is the worst president ever! Aren’t you glad that we would never do these things? We are so morally superior to this president!

Another outtake from the sessions for Pornucopia. This song started as an instrumental towards the end of the Celestial Medley. I just couldn’t include it because it didn’t flow with the album and there was already a song featuring the flanger effect on the album. Enjoy.
