(157/365) A song that puts you in a thoughtful mood: This whole album does the trick, but this song in particular will make mind wander.

(152/365) A song from your favorite original film score: If the Big Lebowski soundtrack actually had all the great tunes in the film, I would have picked something from that, but this is probably my favorite film score after that.
(151/365) A song that you consider to be one of the most beautiful you have ever heard. I probably already used this song for another day, but fuck it. It fits the bill for today brilliantly. It wasn’t even finished in this version.
(150/365) A song by your favorite contemporary composer: When I was in concert band, I loved playing Holsinger. You can’t get comfortable playing him. There’s always something unexpected, and you have to really practice to master one of his compositions. It’s probably difficult to get into if you haven’t tried playing it.
(149/365) A song by your favorite classical composer: Movement 4 of Haydn’s Opus 76 No. 1 is my favorite piece of classical music. I couldn’t find it for the day when that was a question, but at least I found it for this one. I marked the video so it will start on that movement. Seriously, take a few minutes to listen. It’s magnificent.
(148/365) A song you would use to tell someone you were completely in love with how you felt. You can’t lose with Frankie.
(147/365) A song that you love but for some reason don’t own: I can never get everything I want unless I won the lottery. I’m glad there are things like YouTube and Spotify to listen to all the great music out there.
(146/365) A song with great vocal harmonies: This has a gospel feel to it, but the finale is really my favorite “Rollin’, rollin’, rollin’ on river” “Got to get away” and then the background to the “Got to run away” part. It’s unorthodox, like many Dennis compositions, but really he really hit the mark on this for a great opener to a great album.
(145/365) A song that features an unusual instrument: This song features a can of bug spray for percussion. It’s the “sssst” sound in the background. I can only imagine how awful the studio smelled after that session.
(144/365) A song that features your favorite keyboard solo. What a great intro. JPJ is the greatest.
