Pioneer Chicken corner

There are still two full-blown Pioneer Chickens, one on Soto in Boyle Heights, and one in Bell Gardens, and then there’s one more, but it doesn’t have the entire menu in West LA. You really can’t beat the orangey-golden-colored crispy batter. The spicy rice is another treat. One thing that they don’t have anymore is a little individually packaged cup of strawberry shortcake. Long live Pioneer!

I have covered 3 Nirvana songs (at least on tape), but none of them have been put on the computer (they would pale in comparison to the originals anyway). Instead, I offer this original song, which would not have come into existence without inspiration from Mr. Cobain.

I have posted songs from this tape before, but this was one of a bunch that I wrote in a short amount of time. I don’t know of any other time where I created that much I actually am proud of in such a short time.
